Could you tell me what adhesives to use to dowel chipboard end to end. Also what adhesive can I use to glue two pieces of melamine together ?

For dowelling and glueing the ends of chipboard 'Aquadhere Interior':http://www.selleys.com.au/adhesives/household-adhesive/specialist-adhesive/aquadhere-interior/ or 'Aquadhere Exterior PVA+':http://www.selleys.com.au/adhesives/household-adhesive/specialist-adhesive/aquadhere-exterior/ will be suitable. Glueing Melamine to Melamine can be difficult and we would suggest using some form of manual fixing such as screws or dowelling to support and strengthen the joint. A polyurethane glue such as 'Aquadhere Durabond':http://www.selleys.com.au/adhesives/household-adhesive/specialist-adhesive/aquadhere-durabond/ super durable woodworking glue or Tarzan's Grip 'High Strength Glue' would give best results. These glues are a treacle/honey colour and dry to a creamy white colour. They foam or expand as they cure. It is best to trim or sand any excess glue off once it has cured. To assist adhesion we suggest sanding the melamine surfaces first.
