Need a strong glue for soft wood dowels not well fitting, considering High Stress Wood glue 308

To repair a heavy dinner table, siting on central pedestal with 3 legs joined with 2 dowels to centre column, joints dried a bit loose and gaping. Cannot find info on above glue on your web.

Selleys 308 Glue is no longer made. Selleys 'Araldite Super Strength Epoxy Adhesive':http://www.selleys.com.au/trade/specialist-products/epoxy-adhesives-fillers/araldite-super-strength/ will however be ideal for this repair. For the best result try and remove any old adhesive first such as that shown in your photo. This will allow the glue to bond well to the timber surfaces. After gluing, clamp the joint and allow 24 hours for the glue to cure.
